I'm hoping someone can assist me with a query...
I'm currently with Tiscali/MWeb (basic ISP services), I have the opportunity to connect remotely to my work server from home and work from home (Restricted access to my PC work desktop via my IMAC desktop at home)
I'll be working on simple documents such as Excel and MSW docs approximately 2 hours a day max.
I've queried Telkom DSL 192/3 Gig Cap / Down 192k/ Up 64k and it seems the cheapest/fastest option for what I need it for.
Mweb will be charging and additional cost upgrade from R99 to R235 to still act as my ISP, if I move to Telkom as my ISP it'll cost me R199.
Questions:
1. I'm looking for the cheapest (A)DSL (192) option for the application I require (remote log in access)
2. Is 3 gigs a month enough?
3. Are there any other cost effective options out there?
4. Suggestions on the most effective ISP/ADSL combined options for home use?
Any assistance will be appreciated
