Remotely clearing an HTC Sensation

I am wanting it know if it is possible to wipe information off a Sensation that has been stolen. I know if I choose an app on the Play store it will automatically download on the phone if it is on, but as luck would have it I know the battery is flat as it was low when it was stolen.

Any info would be welcome. Thanks
