Remove duplicate mails from Outlook

I just made a blunder. I moved all my sent mails (about 5000 items) to another folder, and instead of just moving them it created duplicates of almost all of them!

How can I remove the duplicates without doing it manual one by one? Anyone that has some ideas?

Have you tried the undo button? What about the function "delete all alternate versions of items in your mailbox"?

Happened about an hour ago. I have closed and re-opened Outlook in the meanwhile.

I use ODIR too - changing from a Palm phone to WinDOS phone made 3,4 or even 5 duplcates in some folders! It sorted it out quickly!

sheez, now you guys are telling me about ODIR...after I have sifted through more than 5000 mails manually over the last few days...

ODIR only works if you have a pst/ost. It won't work if you use exchange without cache.

Busy trying it now but keep on getting the message about ODIR not able to open the pst/ost file. Busy doing an Inbox Repair Tool scan on the PSt.

Any ideas?

I found a free utility once to do this but for the life of me cannot remember it's name.
