Remove old garden trimmer head

Hi, could I ask for some help, see attached pictures please :
- how do I get 1 removed from 2
- somehow my gardener got other plastic wiring stuck into 3 and 4 etc broke off in the process
- we bought the complete replacement 5, but how do I get to the connection point for 6
- I see the plastic pin in 7 can pull out but then a bolt inside is surrounded by plastic casing so I cant loosen it ?

Hacksaw, pocket knife and dremel.
 
Guys.. what do use to get the plastic cap in the trimmer head loose to be able to get the new head on? that black plastic cap is VERY soft.. as soon as you grab that little flat area with a longnose pliers it starts breaking.. looks though like there is a special tool, like an inside-out socket that fits there... but what is that tool called (sorry.. not familiar with tool names) LOL.. O... and do you turn that black cap lefty loosy or lefty tighty or does it just pull out. ;-) Thanks!

This is on the old head...but the new one is the same... I managed to get (cut) off everything so just the shaft and nut is sitting there... Still trying to get the nut loose as well

Make and model of weedeater? Some of them just pull off with a bit of effort.
 
I had to cut away the head with a grinder, remove the armature from its housing, secure it in a vice and then the nut came off anti-clocks. Hot as balls in the workshop with sparks and molten plastic flying around everywhere. Was like a New Years orgy if everyone had sparklers in their ass cracks with the occasional F bomb dropped from time to time.
Now I just need to figure out do I work on shaft or bolt diameter for the replacement head. It can't all be fun and games with the handles flinging around and cutting line hitting you on the legs when its trimmed off and then trying to remove the head without going to hell. They had to throw a brainteaser in there as well. I bet not even a trimtech techie can fix it without going all jekyll and hyde on it.
 
I have to be honest, did not expect the longevity of this thread. I gave up and bought a petrol trimmer. My right hand at the time was fa#$, and my garden was getting worse. So I gave up and bought a petrol trimmer. My hand is now better, so I might give it a go.

I know right. So my motor was a really old design so I needed my makeshift shaft extension to get the new head attached. Unfortunately the head was now so far away from the motor that the cooling fins probably weren't cooling the motor all that well. Combined with additional weight and imbalance. And the standard landscaping engineer technique of blipping the throttle instead of actually letting the machine run, and it burnt out on the maiden voyage.

Replaced with a smaller secondhand Trimtech from marketplace :ROFL: I guess we learnt nothing.

To be fair it literally is just used as an edge trimmer and my lawn is quite small.

LOL, so I'm sitting with the same problem; how to remove the head from a Trimtech 900ti.

Watched a few videos on Youtube - which were no help at all.

Fortunately found this thread!

My trimmer lost one of the metal grommets that the line feeds through! I had an old Lawnstar trimmer lying around so I popped one out of its head - but to fit the grommet to the Trimtech head I need to remove the head so that I can get the grommet seated - now if only I had one of those eyelet clamping pliers!

Welcome to the club. I eventually just bought a petrol trimmer. I injured my right hand/wrist, so had to abandon the project, but the wife was complaining about the borders, so I went with a petrol trimmer and have not looked back.
