Remove Password from Microsoft Office Word 2016 document

Hi,

I have a document with me that I would like to remove the password. The password I have works for read-only purposes but does not work when I try to remove encryption from the document.

Are there any free tools or services that can remove whatever the password is?

Are you the owner and or author of the document or have the relevant permission?

Can you not copy and paste to a new doc in read only mode?

Or else print to pdf and run it through ocr software.

Or take a screen shot and run it through OCR software. Honestly, I don't know why people use passwords on Word Documents unless you work for the FBI or CIA. What is the point? You're just asking for problems.

No need to use OCR. You can select text if you created the PDF from a Word doc.
