Remove YouTube from search results

Add -YouTube to your search string
 
There are plugins that can change the phrase on the fly to something more entertaining.... like HereBeDragons.

Not sure what the relationship is between youtube ads and google search results? If google recommends a video it's usually right at the top of the search results with a video icon and you can just scroll past it (sounds like you're not looking for videos).
 
What exactly are you Googling that you see so many YouTube results?
