removing an external aerial from desktop modem

This may sound simple but please can some one tell me how to 'safely' disconnect an external aerial from an I burst desktop modem. The little gold clip seems to be quite stuck in there and I am afraid if I pull it hard it will break!

My dads little connector also broke off, its quite easy to take out. And don't worry, it wont hurt ur antenna, for one you can easily take it out with your finger nails, or if it feels a bit tight just use , a long nose pliers.

in case any one cares i wanted to remove it since my signal seemed to be crapy the last few days (orange and yellow) as soon as i removed it the led went green, so i think the aerial was damaged

anytime, i dont think its your aerial, but the adaptor connected to the iburst. Even the one we use at work gets all buggy when its damaged like what happend in your case. Phone support (when they answer one day) and ask where you can get another adapter for your antenna, if you feel you still arent getting any good speeds

for now its cool im getting full speed with the little antennae

Same here. Also shared my info on this forum regarding this find and they said that my aerial is broken as well... Honestly, IDK, cause you can't really test for it.

But, ja, I've been using mine aswell without the external aerial and works a lot better.

Hmmm weird really hey? You pay R500 for an antenna that just isn't as good, as they claim it to be. The Iburst sales man conned me into believing it will increase my signal, and internet speed significantly. But never did lol
