Hi Afrihost Team,

@AfriGuy, @Afrigirl

Do you know if it's possible to use SPF port directly on my existing router to drop the need to have the additional CPE/ONT on premise, if so what would I need to do to get that arranged,

Purely convenience of dropping unnecessary equipment from the space, I don't see that the CPE is actually providing much value besides providing a MAC address and maybe some settings, could be wrong,

Thanks,
Robert

The CPE/ONT does not belong to you. It is the property of Vumatel.

It cannot be used, unfortunately.

It's possible if you're on Active Ethernet, they might not be happy about it, but use at your own discretion:

To add on to this, only their older AE CPEs support this. The newer models do not have removable SFP modules
