I had a 2 port PCI Serial card installed on my machine. For some unknown reason one of the ports died. Yesterday I have bought a replacement but of another brand. I installed the drivers that came with it.
BUT, now these new serial ports are COM 6 and COM 7. Ons of the programs I have, only allows up to COM 4. In my Device Manager it says that COM 3 and COM 4 are in use. This was the old card which is not here anymore. What can I do to re-claim COM3 & COM 4?
