My mum had been looking to buy a Duster since last year. She's looking to get an SUV and at the price point it seemed like the best deal. With the Captur now in SA, it isn't as clear anymore. The Captur is slightly smaller, and I do worry about the boot space. The Duster is better off-road, but she'll never use it, she didn't want the 4x4 model anyway. How much nicer is the Captur?
Are there are any Duster owners on here, have you noticed any irritations? We have a Nissan NP 200, which is Dacia designed like the Duster, and it has a few issues, the wipers are on backwards, there are some squeaks and rattles, and the fuel tank is opened from a lever on the passenger side.
My mum's main worry about the Captur is the engine size. She feels that a 900cc can't be right. This was the same reason that she didn't like the Ford Ecosport.
She was looking at the Duster Expression, which costs R213 990, the Captur Expression costs R219 900, a negligible difference.
She currently drives a 2007 Hyundai Elantra 1.6.
