Hey pp

I just bought myself one last week and would just like to know if anyone knows ways of modifying my car without voiding my warranty and I also wanted to know if there is anyone with any modification manuals with regards to sound etc... just alot cheaper if you kno what i mean.

Thanks ;)

Using a Phillips screwdriver, punch about 10 holes in the silencer box with a hammer. This will make the car sound highly modified and will cost you nothing at all.

yeah or you could get a cone filter, and performance back/box. they don't cost that much, and performance is quite noticeable..

not on a 1.2 ;) they just suck a bit of air every now and than, sip..... sip... for a cone filter to be noticeable, you must at least have a 1.6.

ok and what about sound guys I wanna buy myself a pioneer deck and then an Star Sound combo which i saw on Autostyle for like R1500 800w 12'' Sub 1400w 4channel amp 1X Pair of 6x9's 1X pair of 200w Tweeters would you say thats a good deal and would that also affect my warranty at all?

Sound should not affect your warranty. No point at all in trying to mod a 1.2 for performance though, IMO.

Only performance mod that might do anything is a new engine :D

The money you spend modding the 1200 inline 3 to any decent amount of power would could be spent on another engine. Problem is Renault is incredibly expensive and it's not the most abundant car ever so might be a problem finding a engine to transplant, buying from Renault itself would be too expensive.

Easiest option, turbo.

Yeh that is true this car is quite expensive thank goodness for things like warranty's lol... well I found a star sound combo for R1500 from autostyle.co.za I just thought I should ask some second oppinions before I decide to buy the product :p

well I didnt actually choose it... this was the doing of my step father as he is a mechanic of his own business and he said yes its more expensive to fix but in the long run its very reliable and its a fuel saver :D

And its very difficult to find a buyer or a decent trade in value. That's the main problem, i had a megane 2 and it was nice and had nice features but trying to get a decent trade in or decent price from a buyer was fruitless.

Lost a 100k in value for the 3 years that it was mine. Not nice.
