Renault Talisman

Purely based on volume of sales.

As you know the market for big Luxury French cars locally is exceptionally small. People went German...that's why Lexus & Infiniti & many others have it so hard at this end of the market.

That's why we didn't get the updated 508 or are not planned to get this lovely new Renault.

Same could be said for the Renault Scenic locally as well. Sales dropped substantially as buyers flocked to the Duster & Captur. Doubtful that SA will get the all new model.

Renault Talisman

Since its launch, people have purchased the Renault Talisman primarily for its design. Latest alterations made to the New Talisman serve only to reinforce its style and appeal.

The front end is more refined with a new grille now fitted with transverse chrome brightwork and a modified bumper profile. The full range of the New Renault Talisman also comes fitted with full LED lights. Adaptive headlights are equipped with LED MATRIX technology and come with dynamic LED indicators. Its elegant allure is highlighted C-shape light design, specific to the Renault range.

At the rear, the pure and refined style of the New Renault Talisman is reinforced by the full LED lights that are framed by chrome fittings and include dynamic indicators. The rear-fitted shark-fin antenna improves the quality of the New Talisman's multimedia system while giving it a new sporty look.

The New Renault Talisman range also includes a range of new, unique colours with Baltic Grey, Vintage Red, and Highland Grey. New wheels round out the latest changes with Pierre (17"), Stellar (18"), and Sato (19").

As the driver approaches the vehicle, a lighting sequence involving headlights and door-handle lighting is triggered; the interior lights then follow suit as the driver climbs abord.

Renault to axe three nameplates in cost-cutting drive, says new report

Renault plans to kill off three nameplates – including the long-running Scénic badge – as part of a cost-cutting drive, according to a new report.

Reuters, citing as many as four unnamed sources “close to” the French firm, says Renault hopes to slash costs by €2-billion over the next three years.

According to one of the sources, the Scénic, Espace and Talisman are all facing the axe.

“The project is not yet completely set in stone but the Espace, the Scénic and the large sedan Talisman should already be considered scrapped from the future product programme; it is practically a given that these models will stop,” the source told Reuters.

“In short, [there will be] fewer minivans and sedans and a focus on crossovers and SUVs,” the source confirmed.

Although the Scénic and Espace are no longer offered in South Africa, the nameplates will be familiar to many local motorists. The Talisman, however, was never offered here in SA.
