Renault twizy

not sure how our roads will look with these weird things driving around,
(crash safety? I mean the BMW c1 was a great examp

sure somebody will try make a bakkie version as well as an off road version locally.

is there any good reason nobody has imported one locally yet?
are charging points and servicing an issue as always?

Well - it charges off standard wall sockets :p Wouldn't feel safe on our roads... then again... I saw how they drive in Paris

how long to charge?
and yes , here in SA you'd need a crash helmet probably, as it will be classed as a motorcycle.

wonder if the Geewiz AKA invalid carriage will ever come to africa as well?

Not sure - was busy looking for charge times, and run times.

I'v seen many people on those BMW covered motorbike things without helmets.

Yeah the C1 - you didn't need a helmet and it also had a seatbelt if I remember correctly - might not help if you up under a Toyota Hiace on William Nicol.

Also think that most workplaces will have an issue with you using their power to charge your car.

I wonder if you work for Government or Eskom will they have an issue with this :)
