My 'friend' has to make a very hard choice and would like your awesome feedback

The problem is this. My 'friend' has a 2006 Honda Civic 1.8 Vxi (sedan), a great car. But yesterday the guy drove the new RenaultSport Clio III 200 and found it to be the most amazing fun ever. And yes it would be to someone who has never driven a car with more than 110kw and 180Nm of torque.

Now we all know the Honda is reliable, good resale, but it's not as much fun as the Renault. If you were in my 'friends' position what would you do?

The only real restriction is in making a choice between being sensible but still wanting fun and having an imaginary budget of R250,000.

I think this is the same one I recommended Adamr to get...
R250k, do you have pics? I cant seem to find any on Google for some reason...

He'll still enjoy it for some time to come.......'cause he's going to struggle selling it :D He'll become part of the Renault family...

True that, the first sweetest deal i got i left that family.

Is that an experience u had with the clio sport? interested to know what kind of problems you had apart from resale?

Ive seen those, but it doesnt look like the one I saw... unless they colour coded the ugly black section in front....?

It's definitely the new one. One of the changes was the black front bumper

I haven't driven the new one but I drove the old one. Brilliant engine so I'd imagine it would be the same in the new one.

(only problem is I looove turbos, the megane f1 is a lot more fun to me! However the clio is an easier daily drive)

Ye its the same car...
I think the car I saw had the front section the same as the body colour, it looked much better....
Same bums:p

The Megane F1 should be banned!! How impossible is that suspension?
Ridiculously hard...

If only they made a honda clio sport then I'd buy that!

I am in the process of trading in my clio 3 1.4 expression. Lost almost 50% value in 2 years. Car is in immaculate condition. Hardly used. Like new some would say but dealers wouldnt even look at the car. The moment you mention renault, its either they refuse the trade in or offer you 30-40% below book value.

Yikes!!!
My trade is 30% below retail after two years (not a renualt). Thanks for that input, that is worrying.

yeah pics ... please ... still have not bought a car although its pretty much the FIAT 500

Always like the little Renaultsport Twingo; spotted the more limited Gordini model. Don't see too many of them in CPT.

Checked out the standard Renaultsport Twingo models when went for runs with the Renault RS Club.
