I wonder why Northern Cape does not follow the same path. Building solar farms, even having a green hydrogen program like Namibia has could turn Northern Cape as a wealthy province. What the hell is happening to Northern Cape? There are many things to do in that area.

You must remember that the government didn’t allow anyone to do this and only the DA was fighting to get it done so they just needed the green light for what was in the planning for years already.

The rest will only start thinking about it now that it’s an option…and then pat themselves on the back for it even though they were actively blocking it until now.

No extra grid capacity for a long time now, northern cape was always receiving a little, not outputting any. They'd need to upgrade the grid.

Western Cape and Eastern Cape are also at capacity.
