So I got given a almost new blackberry. Now I'm due for a contract renewal and new phone. Can I upgrade to a contract whit BiS But not take a blackberry as I already have one and then pay in X amount of monies and then getting a iPhone that will my brother will use ?

well you can take out any contract and just have tkeep the BIS activated
Whit out having a inflated monthly bill as my brother who wants the iPhone will just say in the x amount for the phone as I really dont wanna get stuck paying extra monthly for the phone he is has. More looking for a once off payment and thats it

yes you can but as long as its not a blackberry contract.
basically you can activate BIS on any contract, but not take a blackberry contract and payin for another brand of phone if that makes sense?
so in your case you want an iphone for your bro , you take out the iphone deal of R449 per month on anytime 200, then activate BIS on top of that so pay about R500 a month - of course you technically lose the allocated 150MB mtn gives since BIS wont use that- just an example you can see what else they have -
Personaly think think you might as well give the BB to yor brother and get a better smart phone

Could be wrong but AFAIK mtn doesnt have the pay in option ,
They can probably organize that for you, depending on the contract.
