Rentals ?

LOL... Our our local Video store rents out PC games, but they mostly only have Sims 2 & some other lame games and who in their right mind wants to copy that cr@p

Something to do with lisencing restrictions/registration stuff according to our local BT Games

I think our video store has Big Bass Fishing and Tiger woods 2000 or some *****e like that. Its halarious.

a video store close to us used to rent out pc games, but that was soon shut down due to 'legal reasons' according to them. so yeah, i think its licensing issues
*searches for EULA on one of my games*

i used to check out games from my local libary. back in the day. i even got a copy of quake, blood 2, and i think warcraft 2. was still new then, so was cool to get some free games

Think about it - you install PC games. Many games these days don't require the CD to play and others can easily be patched to not require the CD to play. Console games, however, require the disk no matter what. It's just so much easier to continue using it illegally.

Would be very kewl though if they did rent them out though, could rent them and test them before spending oodles of cash on a game that sucks anyway! *Stares at GTA 4*

yea... also pc games are a lot cheaper so people don't bother hiring them and these days with piracy, creators are having enough troubles selling enough pc games. would be decent if they did tho

and, with the awesome new DRM measures, you can only install some games 3 or more times.

@blaze: what about demos? no demos of GTAIV?
