I have a problem with my pc, it just give the BSOD at irregular times. I might be busy playing a game, or it can even happen just after booting up. I really do not know what the cause of this is and do not know where to start.
I just formatted and reinstalled windows 7 last week due to this, thinking that it might solve the problem but the problem is continuing. I downloaded the most recent drivers for my motherboard from Gigabyte's site.
When Windows starts up I also get an "igfxext.exe failed to start error". I know this has got to do with the intel onboard graphics, and I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but the problem still persists.
Then I also have a problem with extracting files. It does not make a difference whether it is compressed with .zip, .rar, .ace it always gives some kind or extraction error. I cannot install any program that is going to extract some kind of file as I end up getting errors. I have tested the compressed files on another pc's and they have no problems but as soon as I try to extract any file on my pc it gives an error.
I have a i5 with a GA-H61M-DS2 motherboard, 4 gig of ram
Can anyone please help me with ideas what can cause this.
