Repairing Samsung Washing Machine

3 year old Samsung Washing machine leaks water when the machine runs a cleaning cycle or a heavy load.

Anybody had a similar issue or can recommend a decent repair guy in the Midrand area.
 
Hi , Flip it over and check for any loose pipes or fittings, just maybe the shaking and spinning over a period may loosen such. Also do you cleanout the machine regularly for any hair ,dust etc. maybe stuck

Depends where it leaks from. Usually the front door seal fails

Thanks, Is it safe to flip these things over?

Yeah the machine is intelligent in that regard, it prompts you to clean out the filter every now and then.

Checked the door seal no issues, cleaned it as well, sometime there is a thin layer of grim that makes water leak.

That said leak seem to come from under the machine.
 
Flip it over lol?

Just call someone to fix it before you land up with a broken hand, or worse...

I only know a guy who specializes in Defy and Bosch, though he claims any machine. But i'd maybe find someone specifically for a Samsung?
 
Sure it's not just the filter bit at the front right that needs to be cleaned?

There's nothing special about any of these things, if someone can fix one they can fix another.

It's generally just about access to parts.

Good on you, I replaced the drum on my shitty Samsung washing machine myself and that was enough for me to say next time I just throw it in the bin.

Talk about designed to fail, using easily corroding parts in a primary component.

That particular model was recalled overseas but not here.
There is a modification I make to those to ensure the soap doesn’t corrode the drum arm again.

Don't you have to have a certification? Like a Samsung Certified Repair Man? or something. I mean you can't just let anyone fiddle under the hood without certification and relevant knowledge of that specific machine?

You only need a Samsung man if it was under warranty.

There is this perception in SA, in no small part thanks to the automotive industry that makes people think service people are out to get them.

Hence the ask about “Samsung Certified”

There are people in this world who studied technical matric. Fixing appliances is easy.
Money for jam, but unfortunately the industry attracts lazy useless fukkers and that’s also the problem
 
na , wash machine are all more or less the same. google is your friend, Flip it over and have a look, diy.
I personally took apart a defy and Bosch washing machine (bar motherboard) and put it all together. Its not difficult at all. Just to see where the leak is ..If not confident , then get a person in , be aware of call out charges vs parts to fix equals a new machine almost ..model dependent
