Like the titles says, can i use r134a to refill my car's aircon in place of the much much more expensive r1234yf?
Anyone done it? Any possible future problems doing it?

Question is rather where to find a aircon shop that will willingly put R134a in a yf system.
Note that the service connection points are different

I have found two places that is willing to do it and has the necessary connector/coupling, so the when/how/who isn't really a problem, it's the can/should.

Drive with your windows open
After living in Upington the majority of my life where it gets hot enough to be able to melt tungsten on your driveway, i made a promise to myself. I would rather eat 2min noodles for a month than drive without an aircon.
But if it isn't recommended to use r134a to refill ill just bit the bullet and use r1234yf.
Not looking to save money now only to pay 10x more further down the line.
