Replacement AVR for Generator

Need some advice and or help

I have a Chinawese 2.5kw generator that has been working well for the last couple of years.
I did a clever thing the other day and sent 220v the wrong way and burnt out the AVR.

My question is is a AVR specific to the output of the generator and is it possible just to use a generic one?
The other question is who can direct me to a supplier?

Changeover switch!

Get it now before you kill someone.

Try them, I bought an AVR from them years ago....was named differently then: the gent: Deon Holtzhauzen
