I heard about a shop in Woodstock where one can buy cheap replacement batteries for cameras. Does anyone know the name and address of this place, por favor?

Looking for a NP-FM500H battery and charger for a Sony A200.
 
I've bought all kinds of batteries from them... including the Hahnel copy of the one you are looking for. Just call them first, because I think the address on the website is their old address.

Thanks, that is the exact place I was looking for, but I had been told "Meltz".
Can you recommend a good place (i.e. cheap) where I can get a charger for this battery?

You'll see at the top of the website, MPower is a trading division of Meltzer Agencies. Charger... I don't know. Maybe ask the ladies at Meltzer Agencies.

I finally went with this flash:

Two reasons:
1) It was available NOW.
2) Reasonably priced compared to Sigma and Metz.

It is not the best out there but is has what I need and so far I'm happy with it.

Regarding Metz, had some stellar service from their suppliers here but they charge over R500-00 more locally for the 48-AF I was looking at so I had to drop that idea.

Will report back with a review in two or three weeks time and let you know how this puppy performed!
