On Friday some smelly git broke into my house and stole my laptop @#$%^$$##@
It was a Samsung R710 with a full size keyboard, and a 17" screen - as well as things inside that workd nicely!
Ive got to find a replacement, but cant decide what to go for. Basically I'd like something similar,with the big screen and proper keyboard.
It is used for a bit of everything, from games to emails.
My fiance has an HP, and I hate it, its noisy and the HP programs do their best to use all the internet bandwidth we have whilst trying to make you think they're helping so I wont be buying anything HP
Can anyone else give me some ideas of what to get. I'd like to spend about 8G, and ahve something that will last untill its stolen!

PS my computer was off, and had a password, can the @@#%$%^&^% get into my docs, or will they have to reformat it and start again?
