There's no space for a spare, so run flats it has to be. Will report back on price for those who run into a similar situation.

You do get a spare wheel kit from the stealers.

It is a smaller wheel which includes a jack and all the necessary tools. It also comes in a nice bag.

Oh but like you say, theres no dedicated space for even the space saver spare wheel.

It takes up valuable boot space unfortunately.

That's not much more than normal tyres, have they come down in recent times, more cars using them?

I was helping my BIL find runflats for his X3, best price was around R3500 per tyre, I can't remember the size but they couldn't be much bigger than 17"

True, they've come down in price considerably over the last couple years.

unfortunately my car also doesn't have any bootspace...even a 16inch kids bike cant fit in the boot of my car but I dont mind...saves me the hassle of always having to *carry* extra luggage for people when I go on roadtrips

Depends on tire model , re002, S0 etc
