Replacements for a BPT Gate intercom

I need to replace an old intercom system at the house. The switches/buttons at both the gate and one of the handsets is failing.

The distance between Gate and house is about 25m and it's all wired under ground beneath the paving, etc. It's been in place for the 9 years I have lived here so goodness knows how old it really is.

The house has two handsets and there is an LED that shines/flickers when the gate is open - it looks like a custom mod. Of course, pressing the button on handset opens the gate and we can speak to whoever is there.

While I am assume just replacing the gate station and the handset is a solution, but that would cost R2K and considering the age of this solution I guess other things could fail soon too.

What are good cost effective replacements?

Would be able to use your existing wiring, but you would need power for the screen which then supplies power to the door station..

It connects to your WiFi network and then you install the app and can view the camera through the app anytime someone presses the intercom button, from wherever you are and open the gate from the app too, if you wire the door station to the gate motor aux connection..

I replaced my switches. Also got a switch that switch intercom off, do not disturb mode.

Do you have people visiting often that use it?

personally I let mine rot, people I expect I keep an eye out for on the camera, my neighbors generally have my number and anyone else can go suck a lemon

Since I won't be living in this place in a few months, and will be renting out, don't know what the tenant will do with WiFi etc. I am planning on leaving the Ubiquiti kit , which gives great WiFi now, but they may not want it. Also don't need something complicated.

We have a few people coming every few days (staff, etc) but now thinking about the tenant.

One of the options I am thinking - is move the handset in the bedroom (hardly used) and move to the front where the CCTV monitor shows everything at the front , and just replace the gate switch . Another one , is mount a sherlo single button remote at the CCTV monitor and that can open the gate too.

Right now, the gate and garage door also has Sonoff SV smart switch so I can monitor and manage anywhere I am , but that will also need to pulled out since there is no way I am doing support for the tenant for all the iOT stuff I have. Very sad about this
