Hi guys,

I would like to buy the new HD PVR while its on special and use it in my SD system at home.

I currently have a Dual View Decoder that feeds 4 rooms in the house with both channels...

Can i simply take the HD PVR and plug that as TV1 and then current "2nd TV" into the single view decoder and activate extra view.

Or is it not that simple ?

I still want both channels to show in all 4 rooms.

I did this about a month ago.

Unfortunately it's a little bit more complicated than that.

1) If you're using a Dual LNB (most likely) you'll need a 2x4 multiswitch. This will then allow you to take the 2 LNB feeds and provide the HD PVR 2p with 2 feeds and the single view with one feed.
They cost R200+, plus you'll need three more cables (to connect the MS to the decoders).

2) You'll also need to have a cable connecting the two decoders for the XtraView heartbeat.

How do you currently control the Dual View from the remote TVs - remote blasters or TVLink?

almost that easy, you need one more part a 2 x4 multi switch the 2 lnb cables go into that out of that 2 go in to the hd pvr and 1 goes into the single view decoder.then 1 heart beat cable from the pvr to the single view.
