I have two unused Multichoice decoders (and no DSTV subscription).
I have the entry level SD non-PVR decoder, and an HD2PVR decoder.
The FTA stuff I've read seems to require some sort of DSTV subscription and doesn't work on the PVR decoder.

What else can I do with/to them?

Sell them?

You could also throw petrol on them and light them up. :D

No market for them, been trying to sell my SD-PVR and HD-PVR for a while now and have given up. They are now used as door stops :P

I also have an SD1110 available after upgrading to the Explora. Surely it would reach at least R50? ☺

I seem to think I asked you how much you want for that SD-PVR and you told me you're not shipping it.

So at least I tried :p

Yes you did, but shipping them is not an option :D I'd prefer collection (sorry, been caught far to many timers, that I'm now a "little" wary.

Haha I don't think somebody with over, 8000 posts on my adsl is a scammer. He would get flamed.

Does anyone know whether the HDD in the HD2PVR is SATA or IDE?
If SATA, I can pillage it for my CCTV DVR

There’s a big and relatively unknown market now for the PVRs, sata HDDs are worth a lot kore than people are selling the decoders for. Also if you’re adept at a bit of soldering, there is a market for loose usb and hdmi sockets.

There’s also a nice little fan in them that computer geeks will buy. And a sata/ USB adapter.
