Who are reputable PC suppliers? I was going to buy a desktop from Takealot but then I decided to consider other suppliers. Problem is that I'm not familiar with computer suppliers so I don't know who to trust.

I'm in the market for a refurbished i5 12th, preferably 13th generation tower PC.

There is at least 1 HP i5 12th generation on Takealot. There's also one on Bob Shop but I'm a bit wary of buying off Bob Shop.

Don't you know someone that could assemble one for you? Buying the parts individually is usually cheaper.

You can also have a look at wootware. I believe they'll charge you a small fee to assemble.

No, I don't know someone like that. Is Wootware reputable? Have you dealt with them?

Oh fabulous!

I'm glad I asked
But it won’t be refurbished. They sell new stuff.

That being said, if you give them your requirements and budget, they can make a good recommendation as well. Which you are welcome to ask about here. There’s a PC build thread which is an ideal place to get feedback.

True. I've got a decent budget for a n00b desktop PC but I'd rather not spend a fortune. I'm not a gamer or an editor so I just need a regular PC.

Go with Wootware.

You will find another store popping up on Google, do a search on the forum before you buy from them. Avoid at all costs no matter how cheap they are.

Can sometimes find nice deals on Carbonite.

Have you ever heard of Gogadgets.co.za? They've got some affordable refurbished desktops.

I'll recommend another store. Met Nicholas from Hollandtech a few times through Carbonite. He can also build you a machine based on your needs or budget. He sometimes has second hand items in stock.

Why so cryptic? It's Evetech.
I mean Evetech is a legit store, not a scam. You pay your money and they’ll deliver the product to you. I have bought from them in the past.

They have a bad reputation in terms of honouring warranties though. Thankfully I have never had anything I’ve bought from them need a return. So he usual caveat emptors apply.
