Please let me know how you sort this out. I've got a friend who is also struggling to get anything from home affairs. I just want to know what to do to help him.
He is a Somalian refugee, currently staying in a night shelter, where he has been struggling to get the necessary documents from home affairs for more than a year now. They just take his money but do nothing for him. It pisses me off so much. This guy really just wants to work and make a better life for himself, but he is getting abused everywhere he goes.

There is a major hold up for work permits. Home Affairs is a complete mess for the foreign work force. My wife has been waiting for ever for hers. Now we getting the DOH to apply for it on her behalf to resolve this.

Update: The HR department of the workplace (that planned to hire her) has recommended an agent for her, will keep you posted.
