Hi,

The word I am looking for is failing me, and my google-fu is not working out.

I am not looking for a wifi extender, I am looking for a wireless hub?

I have a network cable that comes into my room (through the roof, from my fibre router in another room). It plugs into my NVR camera system.

I am looking for something that will take in the network cable, have one or more ethernet output jacks so i can plug my NVR into that, but it must also be able to output a wireless network

I am using a wifi extender, but that sucks
I am not a network expert (obviously) so something easy to configure.
Its a small room, so it wont need huge wifi coverage.

Whats the correct term for what I am looking for so I can shop around without sounding like a dingbat

Thanks!

You're looking for a router that can operate in wireless access point mode. Generally normal wireless access points only have 1 RJ-45 port for ethernet backhaul to the router. But there are routers out there where you can switch the functionality from being a router to being a wireless access point with multiple RJ-45 ports.

bingo! yup exactly that. haha I forgot i have that old crappy tplink from cool ideas.
literally a 5 minute job to configure :)
