hallo clever peoples of South Africa! first off, apologies if its in the wrong forum.
So, my housemate is looking at buying one of the following, and I am not familiar with media players. and not interested in putting a pi pc together for one.

however, I recall somewhere that said these arent worth the money spent. now I put it to the floor, any better suggestions, ideally in the same price range. future proofed if possible?
