Hello,

Is it just me, or are there others who agree that there is a big market for custom built pc's?

I am looking for a pc that has type of treated wood on the outside, and must be a micro atx type form factor so it doesn't take up so much space, I only use 1 cd and 1 hdd bay. The inside can be the same alluminium etc. for support.

Are there any South Africans who does this kind of thing?

How reliable are commercially built customized cases and are they expensive?

A while ago I found a company that did custom enclosures based on 3D models you provide. They were US-based but willing to ship to SA. Costs started at around R6k for a standard ATX-type chassis, but obviously you can go nuts and do whatever you want, they'll do it.

I was looking for a commercial sollution that wouldn't stand a chance of dissapointing me, someone with over 100+ modified cases under his / her belt.

Again I am stumped to see that nobody has jumped onto this potential field for business.

It is a small market in todays terms when coming to available finances for cases like this. Most peaople also tend to want to do these things themselves because you can put your own personal touch on it and it won't cost an arm and a leg to do it.
