I'm a new member. Advice on CPE installation on top of a roof: make sure you leave at least 300 mm of pipe sticking out on top of your CPE to compensate for lightning shockwave deflections. You don't want your router to absorb lightning...

I'm doing extensive research on wifi signal strength, speeds, and access points. Will share results once I've tested the outcomes myself.

On the contrary, I'm having accessing CPE Management to configure my CPE settings. My default password and username hasn't been changed but I keep on getting an error message. Any help...

When I enter my IP address onto my browser to access CPE Management logon page it says "login failed, you have 2 chances left". I guess its the wrong login page.

Yeh, not sure of what router, but sounds like the wrong login page...just go to the IP ie. HTTP://192.168.0.1 and don't put any additional information into the URL. Also, watchout for browser PWD management - chrome tries to be clever :)

The Default ip for the Huawei Routers is usually 192.168.8.1
If IP Pass through is enabled it will pass the "Public IP" downstream , and i think this messes with getting back onto the router admin page.

What you could try do is a Hard Reset.
Depending on the device the reset switch should be located at the bottom. "RST" on the N5368X .
This is accessible once you open the little door to the simcard \ secondary network port.

Once reset you can try access the Web UI from 192.168.8.1 Default U\N and P\W is admin\admin
