Reselling a trailer?

I want to buy a trailer from work and resell it.
Do i have to get it registered in my name before i can sell it?
Whats the procedure?

The company signatories are all required to sign to sell the trailer.

ok let me rephrase rather

i want to buy a trailer that is owned by my employer(not the company)
so i just need his sig? on what form?

If you are simply buying it and reselling it straight away, you do not need to register in your own name. Register direct to the new buyer.

but what form should i get the current owner to fill in?
Proof of purchase /letter from owner?

1. The current owner must have his "logbook" (green certificate of proof of ownership)
2. Then you go to the licensing department and pick up 2 forms, ask them which.
3. One you fill out, one the current owner fills out.
4. You then hand in both forms with id books and the "logbook" and lots of money and the transfer is done.

For your purposes, step 3 is different, the form you fill out is simply the form that the new buyer fills out ( you fill in nothing ).
