ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

Make sure DHCP is enabled on the router
 
How about you rather tell us what the problem with the router is? Maybe someone can help. I doubt resetting the internal IP will help with router troubles.

The settings is found under Start==>Settings==>Control Panel==>Network Connections==>Local Area Connection==>Properties==>Internet Protocol==>Properties

But I doubt thats the problem if the local works. If local works then the chances are good that the problem is not on your end.

Check that you are not capped already.

Some routers allow you to dial-up a different account without fidgeting with the normal account set up under the routers config. Try this. (Site is international though).
