Residual

HaHa! We need to get the car first :erm:

Last Q, How long will the E90 engine last? :)

Thanks For all the advice and help guys, MYBB is really the place to get info about anything.

You are not buying an E90 ;)

But the 318i is really a very reliable engine, my 323i had 260k on the clock when I totalled it, would have had over 300k now.

A residual is the worst thing ever. Do not buy a car with aresidual value. Just think about how nice it will be once you've paid your 7 year (eish) and then the car is yours. It also help a lot if you are trying to sell the car as you will not have to cover the residual value as well. Don't do it. Look for a better second hand option that you can afford. Or buy something cheaper..

Those BMW engines are really solid and can take a lot of punishment

true but once something else breaks then what

pay a hand and leg to fix

a older bmw for 80k is a no go

rather go for something like a golf 4 or hyundai getz with lower mileage and cheaper maintenance

Residual Payments should be really scrapped a few weeks back i was watching buyers guide were one lady purchased a 2005 Peugeot 407 brand new and today it's worth R20000-30000 and she had to pay a residual amount of R100000 which is a sad story
