resistances

hey guys =)

had a question about resistances to fire/arcane/frost etc etc.
I am currently lvl 20 lock and all my resistances are 0. Where does one get resistance stats from? are they granted via items as in D2?
Resistance gearing is pretty straightforward, but i would love to actually be able to put it into practice, lol

resistance gear only starts poping up later in the game.. lvl 50's+ as thats where u get serious elemental instances.

Like Son said, resistances only really come into play much later in the game, I only started to worry about it at lvl 60 for raiding.Resistance is gained from gear, u get a few specific gear sets for specific resistances, u also get gems and enchants that add resistances.
