resolution on TV is 'blurry' when connected to PC

SO I have just bought a TV to connect to my PC in my room which I want to use to watch movies series etc.

I have connected it and set it to duplicate my pc monitor. Both monitor and TV are 1920x1080.
Tv is connected via HDMI.

The pc resolution and picture quality is perfect, but on the TV it isn't. I had to use scaling to get the picture to fill the whole screen, but I cant get the picture clear.

I know this is a common issue but I have not yet come across a solution.
I will be trying a different cable tonight.

Has anyone of you resolved this issue?
 
I have done the same but it displays perfectly fine. When you don't use scaling, I know it is smaller, but is it blurry then too?
Are you scaling on the TV software or on the PC software?
 
I had the same problem with my Full HD Sinotec.

It virtually refused to work properly when connecting PC to TV via HDMI. I tried everything and settled for using a VGA cable instead.

When I used VGA it worked properly.

To this day I am stumped, but thank goodness I don't need my TV connected to my PC anymore.
 
The TV has a PC-Mode. Switch to it and play around with resolutions.
 
In your picture settings, one of them should be called "Sharpness". When switching between picture modes, this sharpness changes to 70, 50, etc. Set to 100 and the quality must improve, set to 0 and you start to see a blur; try it?

Yes was also blurry. scaling on PC. not sure you can scale on TV?

Will give it a try tonight and report.
 
Not sure about Samsung, but on my LG I set it on "game mode", it improves the refresh rate and what not.
 
Have LG, if i connect via HDMI, crap picture
Connect via RGB, perfect picture

Same resolution... stumped me years ago and still use RGB to this day

read that that works. mine only has HDMI connection....
 
Hows it look without the monitor?

You try using a dvi>hdmi cable or adaptor instead of plain HDMI?
 
I used a different cable and this helped. My laptop (Dell XPS) only has HDMI out, so I didn't have much choice. It has a blu-ray player in it and it is nearly as good as my Oppo blu-ray player
