Hi guys,

Was wondering if any of you could assist me.
There was quite a storm by my house and since then my internet has been acting up.
I am on a 10mb adsl line with mweb.

When I do a speedtest the numbers are fine, but most websites don't load properly, and i get the 'resolving host' thingy at the bottom of the screen and then an error (Oops! Google Chrome could not find xxx). Also watching videos I have to reload the page a couple of times for it to work or i get 'unknown error'.

I have tried using automatic dns settings, and google dns settings and both don't help.

What else can I try?

Hi There,
Have you checked your router statistics?
Post a copy here it may be a line issue after the storm.

It may also be the router that has been tickled by the electrical activity.

Regards

Tim

Not exactly sure how to get router statistics, i'm just going to copy paste the first page:

I have tried turning it on and off.. Will try clear the cache now and see if that helps?

Or just wait and things resolve themselves. I had the same problem for 3 days in cape town on wireless and no amount of clearin the cache helped. As its a hard wired adsl you may want to reboot or probably reset but only reset if you have a tech on the line. I luckily did not reset or reboot despite the temptation.Things resolved eventually by themself but I am wireless though.
