Left it too late everywhere I've phoned is fully booked... My lady has work stuff planned the weekend - yikes...

Ideas???

I was thinking maybe - cook dinner - I can cook quite well...

Haha lol I'm so screwed - but maybe I can make a good recovery - restaurants are gonna be packed and over crowded anyway...

Can put a table and chairs on my balcony - get some italian music playing - some good food and wine...

Make a pasta, get some good wine and also get some fun / nice desserts for you two.

Maybe get a movie for after dinner or something.

My wife and I are doing a picnic in the garden, I bought everything this morning, all set to go :)

Valentine's day - it's a trap

don't waste your money on crap...if that is all that will make your other half happy then they are very shallow

lol if you say so... didn't say anywhere here it's ALL that will make her happy - it's just a nice gesture - to celebrate love and all... so why not

better than a noisy, over crowded restaurant with bad service... private and special

O'Galito in woodlands may have some tables in the smoking area.

your location?

I was referring to a restaurant.

As the heading of the thread reads. :p

i think all women want to be wined and dined and get a nice gift. i am no woman but i would like it as well.

No not ALL women as long as you make us feel special and loved because thats all we really want.

I actually remember a poll on 5FM or Highveld the other day ... either home with SO, a movie, pizza etc or wined/diner etc. Most girls wanted the former and preferred the home idea.

thats what they all say and when they dont get anything they sulk, hold out on the P and bitch and moan for the rest of their lives.

Cook a nice meal that she likes, with a good bottle of wine. Make it romantic. Profit.

Now listen carefully, I will say this only once.
Get to a Spar, buy a can or two of sliced Mango, buy double thick cream and plain Greek Yogurt (you'll need equal parts of cream and yogurt), buy Treacle Sugar... Go home, whisk the cream 'till it starts to firm and fold it in with the yogurt... Get a glass bowl, Mango in first (with some of the juice), layer the cream and yogurt mix over that and cover with a layer of treacle sugar... Put the whole thing in the fridge for about an hour or so... The cream and yogurt mix causes the sugar to melt in the fridge... Get this dessert right and forgetting to book a restaurant for Valentines Day will never be a problem again... Ever.
