I sleep restlessly at night and wake up during the night convinced I am being watched or that there are people breaking into my apartment.

After a while I realise it's not really happening and then I go back to sleep.

This disrupts my sleep badly.

This morning about 02:00 I woke up hearing bird sounds. I thought the bird sounds were burglars communicating with each other in code and that they were monitoring me with a hidden video camera in my room, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. After a while I realised it wasn't real.

Once I woke up seeing ninjas jumping through the ceiling, coming to kill me.

I often wake up convinced there are spiders or scorpions in my bed and jump out the bed to shake them off. After a few seconds I'll realise it's not really happening.

Another common one is that I wake up seeing snakes hanging from the ceiling.

Once I woke up clearly seeing an old man's face staring down at me.

I've discussed this with a doctor and she said these types of hallucinations are not serious and that many people get them.

Does anybody know what I can do to stop this? This past week it's been especially bad.

I say go see a therapist, if it's scaring you or interrupting you daily activities. Maybe get some sleeping pills prescribed to help you sleep for a while? :)

Adco-Zolpidiem Hemitartarte, 10mg stat, ask your therapist.

get dorminoct. Long acting benzo. Better than short acting drugs.

Bare in mind once you start sleeping pills there is no going back. You will never want to go to bed without your pill again.

I wish I could experience that every now and again. Would be like living in
a horror movie. :D

Sadly over the years I've been desensitized to those sorts of things. :(

Not often but I sometimes have vivid nightmares like that.

I've had sleep paralysis a few times, that’s by far the worst feeling.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you.

Ah, another attention seeking troll thread by the serial offender...

Try moderate-heavy Exercise for 8 hours
I 100% guarantee that you`l be out for at least 9 hours
I got home at 6pm and went straight to bed woke up at 3am wondering :wtf:

Owe gosh dude....get over it. Enjoy what sleep you get. I work restless shift hours, if I can get 3 hours sleep a day without waking up I'm extremely happy. Its hard to sleep when you sleep during the day this week, then night the next week. Your sleep pattern always change.

Yep... And it's hard not to roflmao when someone relates a story of how their house is haunted and something was holding them down :D
