Ok so I have a Chromescast with a 20mb/s capped account at home,the kids have recently discovered that they enjoy Youtube more than the movies I download for them with my night time data.
The problem is the nursery rhymes they watch look just as good at 480p or 720p as 1080p,so I don't see the need for them to run through my cap on FULL HD as it wont affect their experience but unfortunately there is no option to manually set video quality on the Chromecast.
Anybody know a way around this,could I maybe set my Chromecast to be limited by the router to only 2mb/s so then it will default to a more reasonable setting?Naturally I don't want my laptop or ipads/tablets etc to be limited because those can easily be managed in youtube itself.
I have a D-Link 2750u router from Telkom btw.Is there software that can help me with this or does the router allow it?
