Results are coming in

ANC: 64,46%,
DA: 21,23%
COPE: 7,86%,
IFP: 2,9%
ID: 2,06%
FF+: 1.42%
The rest: 0,00046%

Not sure how recent these stats are. Got them off the Times site. ANC no 2/3rds yet. COPE seem to have done better than I expected so far.

Tony Leon was just on TV discussing some of the projections. He expects DA to take 17-18% nationally, COPE I think he said 8-10% and the ANC is projected to achieve mid-60%'s but just below 2/3 level.

In the Western Cape it seems the DA could take > 50% while coalitions might be possible in several other provinces.

This is based on the 2.6 million+ votes that had been cast so far.

In Orania 3 votes went to the ANC , 26 went to the DA and the rest to the FF+.

The DA has taken Robben Island.

Ooooh cool, see here's the master plan. Maybe if they want to secede they should start with Robben Island, baby steps :D

According to news24.com the DA is in the lead in the NC & WC. While on sabc2 they say the ANC leads all provinces, except the WC.

What gives? Who is right?

SABC. The News24 story is 2 hours old. More than 3 million votes have been counted already.

According to E News Cape Town vote results have not been included in the figures yet.

Where's the best place to keep track online?

ANC 63%
DA 20%
COPE 8%
IFP 3%

With 26% of voting districts counted. Analysts still predicting about 65% for ANC.

Ok, will take your word on it.

DA has 53% of the WC, according to sabc2, so they can form a provincial gauvamint on their own.
Don't take my word for it. Just watch the TV. They show the actual live IEC leader board right there.

Very nice.
I have a feeling the Blck Diamonds, those who did not get rich through ANC money, are gatvol of the ANC incompetence and the DA, and COPE to an extent, have made in roads in some ANC strong holds.

But the voting is still W.I.P. and things can still change.
