I suspect this could be intentional on Sygnia's part. Of course, unless minimum is different for different products?

Replying to old post (and minimum limits might have changed) but application form states this

but FAQS says " You can start investing with a lump sum of R10 000 or a debit order of R500 per month. " - this could be construed as 'DO of R500' is ok and lumpsum not needed.
