Returning your Xbox 360 to different shop

Hey guys

One of my friend’s 360 decided yesterday to RROD itself. The problem is that we are up in Centurion, and he bought the 360 in Capetown beginning of this year. I know we should first call MS support to get a reference number, but he can’t go back to Capetown anytime soon. Is it possible to swap the console at say BT Games, CNA or Look & Listen here in Gauteng even thou the 360 were bought in Capetown?

Any help would be appreciated

Is there no branch of the shop he bought it in JHB or Tshwane

My xbox was purchased at Game Cape Town and when I had a problem I took it to Game in JHB but they couldnt find stock anywhere so I went to MI direct and they exchanged it for me no problem at all.

Don’t think so, it’s was from one of those “speciality” electronic shops.
