Howzit - my lovely beast of a machine is finished.
I want to part it out.
Does anyone know a cleaver way to reuse the screen even if the mobo is gone?
It "was" a Clevo D900k.
Anyone need any laptop parts let me know!

I was wondering the same thing... I'd like to build a car pc or something using an LCD from an old compaq pentium 2 that barely switches on but the LCD is still great if it could be removed, modded, and connected to an agp port somehow. if you get any luck please feedback to this thread!

It's not worth the cost, to be honest. By the time you have splashed out on one of these controllers you are way over the top. Besides, LCD's have come a long way in the last few years, you will still end up with a tired looking LCD that looks like a 90's relic. Better to get a nice shiny new one intended for the purpose.

Laptop screens gets damaged out there in the real world, concentrate those efforts on finding someone who has damaged the screen on their travels, with your model of screen.
