a pissed ex employee of a small isp now working in a different trade.

owner is a greedy business man who screws over most of the staff to save every buck he can (no financial difficulties in the company).

a lot of pirated operating systems and software on various work stations and servers.

would I be childish ratting them out purely out of revenge for wasting multiple years of my life and the lives of others? chances of finding out it was me who blew the pirate whistle? how harsh would punishment be? chances of it backfiring?

thank you for your time brothers

All you had to do was create a new account. Post a thread saying company "x" uses pirate software.

Done.

Email the BSA and tell them that X is doing that.
I was sold OEM M$ years ago by a certain computer chain store (was told "this is what retail sw look like now). Long story short, they were closed down.

Just remember to tell the employees as well that you ratted him out should they be fired due to the company going under.

Just to make the decision easier :P

I'd do it. You can anonymously tip off the BSA of course. I won't, so that I can rub it in his face. If he tries to sue, you just say to the judge "I was trying to do the right thing when I got fired, I should be the one suing" and counter-sue for discrimination against employees who liked to run on legal software
