It's optional. I've just turned it on.
Remember the play store setting is stored per your play store email account. If you had it on Never on a previous phone and used the same account it would remember it.Well I've had my phone for a month and have never fiddled with that option.
I've emailed them. So will see.
Still the setting saved per google play store account i.e. email account. Not per credit card.Ok, but, and it's my first ever *new* credit card, only used on this phone.
