Reversing fan direction..

Hey'all,

I have a X-QPack and a 7900gt w/vf900cu that blows hot air directly onto the fan that is supposed to be blowing cool air into the PSU.
I am thinking about installing an Antec Vcool vga cooler, but for it to help the situation, it needs to suck air out of the case, instead of in.
Any way I can reverse the direction of the fan???

Well, in theory all you'd need to do is swap the two wires powering the fan. Haven't tried it myself but that should do the trick.

Mount the fan the other way round with longer screws ?

ye see, I think the fan is inside some molded hard plastic, so physically reversing it will be a problem..

I'm worried that making the fan spin the udder way is going to be bad for the brushes / non-brush system.
Perhaps it would be better to physically redirect the air using cardboard or even piping [I Use creepy crawly pipe].

True, true, ye maybe I can use some transparent plastic sheet or something..

Reversing the fan wires in the case of computer fans normally don't work They normally have a diode in them that prevents the current from flowing in the other direction.
