Johannesburg - A R10 000 reward is being offered for information about two men who killed a security guard at a Parkmore pre-school in a robbery in January, said police on Tuesday.
Inspector Moses Maphakela said the community of Parkmore had put up the reward which was approved by the provincial police department on Tuesday.
On January 22, two armed men approached the Park on Fourth pre-primary school at 07:00 and threatened the guard, asking him to point out the principal's office.
The men went into the office and held the female principal at gunpoint, taking her laptop and handbag.
As they were leaving, the men shot dead the guard, aged 48.
Maphakela said the police investigation into the case of business robbery and murder was still underway, but the two wanted men were believed to be between the ages of 28 and 30.
Anyone with information can contact Detective Inspector Monyai on 082-9591-320, the Sandton police station on 011-722-4200 or Maphakela on 082-411-0188.
